Confirmation Testing



Patient position: sitting



Apply the base of the Kinesio Tex to
the deltoid tuberosity of the humerus.



Peel the Kinesio Tex from the paper
liner and place the tape temporarily
on the skin. Do not activate the glue
by rubbing.



Flex to 60 degrees, adduct, and
internally rotate the shoulder to
increase tissue tension.



Flex, adduct, and internally rotate the
shoulder to increase tissue tension in
the posterior deltoid.



Stabilize the base of the Kinesio Tex
and pull downward and anteriorly to
increase tissue tension.



Apply the posterior “y” tail to the
posterolateral surface of the
acromion.



Apply the anterior “y” tail to the
posterosuperior surface of the
acromion along the separation
between the fibers of the posterior
and middle deltoid as if to enclose the
posterior deltoid.
