Hi Mark,

You won’t believe what has happened. Do you remember that book about rock
music I wanted to buy? I found it on the Internet. My dad let me use his credit card.
He told me to look for the security sign that they have on websites. It didn’t have one
but when my dad asked me if it was there I said ‘Yes!’ I was upstairs in my room and
he was busy in the kitchen so he didn’t check.

Anyway, after three weeks I still didn’t have the book so I emailed the company.
I got the email back with one of those messages saying: ‘Sorry. Wrong email address.’
That’s when I knew something was wrong. Yesterday a letter came from dad’s bank.
There were five things on his credit card that he didn’t know anything about. They
cost nearly £500. He rang the bank and told them what happened. He’ll probably
get the money back but he’s very angry with me. And I still haven’t got that book! So
watch out next time you shop online.
