How many possibilities are there to visualise a 4 band image using a computer monitor?
Answer
A computer monitor has three possible input channels. If we link the 4 bands to
the 3 channels without further processing then we have the following possibili-
ties:
B1–Ch1,
B2–Ch2,
B3–Ch3
B1–Ch1,
B3–Ch2,
B2–Ch3
B2–Ch1,
B1–Ch2,
B3–Ch3
etc.
With B1, B2 and B3 we have six possibilities. Also we have 4 possibilities
to combine the four bands. In total there are 24 possible combination using
different bands linked to the different channels.
