The circulation wall and the fl exible air
ducts guarantee effective air circulation for
constant cooling temperatures throughout
the entire cargo area. The cooling airfl ow is
distributed at roof height and descends
over the freight towards the fl oor and then

walls and beneath the pallets back to the
bulkhead where it is drawn back in by the

when loading. Simply click the 8 kg support
beams at the desired height into the vertical
rails mounted fl ush with the box body's
side walls. Each support beam can bear
up to 1,000 kg.
The double decker loading equipment creates
space for twice the number of pallets in the
refrigerated box within only a few minutes and
is disassembled just as quickly. This provides
you with additional loading capacity whenever
you need it and with little additional effort.

Schmitz Cargobull's refrigerated boxes fulfi l the FRC-class ATP requirements for transporting
moderately perishable foods. They are vapour diffusion-tight, offer constant transport
temperatures and easily enable perfectly hygienic cleaning. The vehicle's design, materials
and manufacturing are tested and monitored in accordance with the HACCP quality assurance

The landing gear with rolling feet reduces the risk
of damage when hitching and unhitching. In order
to avoid damage caused during lowering in roll-on
roll-off operations, the rear underride guard with
skids has been moved forwards by 300 mm. The
refrigeration unit is mounted 90 mm lower on the
front wall and equipped with a protective frame.
Four pairs of ferry lashings simplify securing when
on board. Steel corner bumpers, a body-width
wear plate and hard rubber strips on the rear wall
frame protect the body. A version with three pairs
of ferry lashings is available for accompanied ferry
transport along with the optional underride guard
positioned further forward.

The Load Spread Program.
For Correct Load Distribution and Less Tyre Wear.
The optional Load Spread Program (LSP) prevents overloading the drive axle after partially unloading
the trailer. It improves the vehicle's handling in tight curves and reduces tyre wear. Depending on the axle
load the LSP automatically reduces the pneumatic suspension in the air bellows on the rear trailer axle
and thus restores the correct load distribution after partially unloading the trailer. The automatic cornering
recognition activates the LSP when driving around tight curves at less than 30 km/h and with a maximum
load of 24 t on the axle unit. This function also simplifi es manoeuvring.
With tight corners and heavy loads the LSP
provides you with an effect similar to a self-
steering axle. Unloading the last axle
reduces the tyre wear caused by friction
and the shortened effective wheelbase
improves the trailer's manoeuvrability.

Partially unloading the trailer moves the vehicle's
centre of gravity forwards: The permissible drive axle
load on the tractor is exceeded.
Prevents tyre contact with the curb: The LSP
increases the inner curve radius travelled with
a loaded trailer by up to 10 %.
Lowering the pneumatic suspension pressure
on the last axle shortens the effective wheelbase
and restores the correct load distribution.
When fully loaded the total load is correctly
distributed among the axles on the tractor and
the box semitrailer.
