Confirmation Testing
Patient position:
Seated or supine, with the elbow flexed to
~70 degrees, and the forearm in neutral,
midway between pronation and supination.
The muscle belly of the brachioradialis must
be seen and felt during this test as the
movement can be produced by other flexors
of the elbow. Stabilize under the elbow to
cushion it from table pressure.
