Pony Riding Club Rules

WELCOME TO THE RIDING CLUB! PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU COME TO THE CLUB

You should wear the right clothes when you ride a pony. A pair of strong trousers, a jacket and boots. You should always wear a riding hat. This is very important.

You should arrive at the club at least 15 minutes before your ride. Then you can pay for your lesson and meet your pony.

You shouldn't eat a big meal before you ride.

Please, don't give the ponies food. Ponies have their breakfast every day at seven o'clock in the morning. They do not need more food.

Please, don't make too much noise. Ponies are scared of noise!

If you are interested in meeting other riders there is a party on Thursday evenings. You can meet your friends, have something to eat and drink and we often have quizzes and games.

If you are crazy about ponies you can come to a “pony day” in the school holidays! You can have your own pony for a day and you can help to take care of it.

We hope you enjoy your membership!

The Royal Albert Hall

0

F

The Royal Albert Hall in London is an important concert hall. It is in a famous area of London called Kensington, and it is opposite one of the biggest parks called Hyde Park.

1

The hall is red outside and it's got lots of ornaments. It is unusual because it is round. The audience sit in a circle around the stage. The hall is really huge. 8,000 people can sit there!

2

The Royal Albert Hall opened in 1871, in the time of Queen Victoria. She wanted something special to remember her husband Prince Albert. There is a monument to Prince Albert nearby.

3

There are always concerts on at the Albert Hall. There have been more than 150,000 concerts there already! Sometimes there are pop concerts, sometimes rock concerts and sometimes classical music concerts. There is something for everybody! Lots of famous groups and singers have played here, for example the Beatles, Janis Joplin, ABBA, the Cure.

4

You don't have to like music to visit the Royal Albert Hall. There are also sometimes sports events there. People come here to watch sumo, boxing and tennis. It's really exciting!

5

There are a lot of other interesting things to do nearby when the concert hasn't started or has finished. There are parks near the hall and there are museums: the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, and, of course, The Victoria and Albert Museum.
