The burglar tied June to a chair. `Don't scream or I'll kill you', he said. Then he emptied the house and ran away through the window. June watched him but she didn't say anything.

Her sister called the police. `He stole my jewels', said June to the policeman. `But they were not real jewels. They were only plastic.' The policeman laughed, but he started the investigation.
