Public transport strike

A story beginning with : ' There was a public transport strike ...'

There was a public transport strike. so we all had a day offlast Wednesday. Although unfortunately it was a dull. rainy day and we had no idea what to do. In the end we decided to relax at home.

I was just passing the big library near my flat when suddenly a window broke on my left. I was quite astonished to hear such a noise, so I instinctively bent. After a few seconds I turned to the library and saw a strange situation happening. A man ran through the room as if he was mad and all customers were lying on the ground.

It seemed that only the policemen coming in their howling cars woke me up. I was still standing in front of the building and watching the whole scene. My shock lasted for another few minutes till I realised that I had been an eye-witness of a robbery. It seemed very weird that all this happened in a library.Well, maybe somebody had made a mistake about choosing the right place ...

I arrived home after two hours of deposing at the police -station.I was soaking wet ,because I had dropped and forgotten my umbrella. Now, I had time to take my long expected bath.
It was to be a normal day ...
