Opening/Framing the Lesson/Introduction/Early Assessment
T write word ‘law’ on the board and elicit the meaning of this word, T asks Ss who represent the law (elicit answers police, government etc.). Next T write ‘out’ in front of ‘law’ to make word ‘outlaw’. Ss think about what it means and try to elicit that means ‘outside of law’. T explains that they’re going to talk about people who don’t respect the law and are excluded from legal protection.

The Lesson Structure: Activities
Ex. 1. Discussion (5’) Ss
discuss about famous British folkloric icon – Robin Hood.
Ex. 2. Reading (5’) Ss read the text about Robin Hood (ex.2 p.86). Ss task is to answer few question below the text .
T checks Ss answers.
Ex.3. Reading (5’) Ss
read the text again and they focus on linked words.
T checks SS answers.
Ex.4. Vocabulary (8’) T draw Ss attention on highlighted words in the text and the definitions given (below the text). Ss try to use the context of the sentence in which the word occur and choose correct definition. Words (army, evidence, struggled, ruler, outlaws, injustice).
Ex.5 True/false exercise (ex.5 p.86) (7’) SS they are going to listen three people talking about stealing. Their task is to decide which of given sentences are true and which are false. Ss checks their answers in pairs. T monitors Ss activities.
