The Lesson Structure: Activities
Ex. 2. Pair work/Listening (5’) Ss work in pairs. T plays music samples and pausing after each one to allow Ss time to choose music style (blues, jazz, reggae, country, indie, soul). T plays record 2 times after that checks Ss answers.
Ex. 3. Group work (ex.2 p.8) (10’) Ss
decide what kind of music each person in the photos T gives a little feedback to each group.
Ex.4. Reading and discussion (ex.3 p.8) (10’) Ss read the text (in course book) to get general understanding. Then their task is to compare and discuss their ideas from ex.2.
After that Ss read the text again and their task is to identify the pictures from ex.2 to each paragraphs .They also should underline the text where they found keyword information. T checks Ss answers.
