Problem
Service is aware of some GSM V360 collected in LA first 100 MOL that have returned
with complaints of “Missing MP3 application”. The root cause analysis identified no
hardware or software issues. It was identified that the user can delete the DIGITAL
AUDIO application when he is trying to delete a MP3 file. To check if application was
deleted proceed as below:
a) On the home screen press the function “DIGITAL AUD” (picture 1).
b) After press right soft key the application “DIGITAL AUD” must be running on
the screen, like picture 2.
c) If it is stay as picture 1 the application was deleted.

Customer Returns:
When Service receives any GSM V360 phone return with “Missing MP3 application”
complaint, proceed as below.
a.
Per normal Service Procedure, Re-Flash/Re-Flex units to software version
specified or latest approved version for region.
b.
Retest the unit per the customer complaint to verify the unit is repaired and does
not exhibit failure symptoms.
c.
Proceed a consumer education.
Call Center Action:
When receiving complaint about “Missing MP3 application” in the phone, please direct
customer to have phone serviced at an Authorized Service Center.
