Notes on the Make three in loop, make 4 in loop, make 9 in loop. These are all worked into a single stitch, usually a yo of the previous row. I use
alternating k, yo to make the stitches, for the make 4, since it is an even number I (knit, yo, knit, knit through back loop). You may, if you prefer alternate
k1,p1 to the appropriate number, or knit front, knit back.
