Reverse Labouchere Betting Strategy
You can use any betting strategy / system with the UK Horse Racing Analyser, but its
recommended that you consider using the Reverse Labouchere Betting strategy also
called the ‘Labouchere Racing System’ to make sure that you win more, and in the rare
event of freak racing results when some of your horses lose you minimise your losses.
Firstly, you start off with a series of seven consecutive numbers in a spreadsheet, or on
paper. This set of numbers will decide your actual stakes and can be adjusted depending on
the level of risk you wish to take.
However, for simplicity, we’ll start with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
To get your stake for each individual race, on one day, add the first and last number together
– in this case, one plus seven. One plus seven equals eight – so your stake for each race is
£8, if you make 10 bets that £80 total daily stake.
The Reverse Labouchere Betting strategy must be used with a strict pre-determined ‘check-
out’ point, so on a opening stake of £8 per race, a ‘check-out’ profit of £100 is used before
going back to the original £8 stake sequence.
Days profit balance is positive:
Add the stake used to the end of the number sequence – so it now becomes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,
7, 8.
When you’ve done this, you again add the first and last number together – in this case, one
plus eight. Therefore, the new stake for the next bet is £9 for each race, or £90 total daily
stake for ten races.
Days profit balance is negative:
If a loss occurred during the last days racing, you simply remove the first and last number
from the sequence. So had the first days bets lost, the sequence would then become 2, 3, 4,
5, 6. Therefore, the new stake for the next days individual bets is £8 (two plus six), or £80
total daily stake for ten races.
Continue in this fashion, adding the stake to the sequence after a days win, but removing the
first and last numbers after a day’s loss. If you hit a number of daily losers in a row and all
the numbers in a sequence are used up – start a new seven number sequence.
