Dress it up, or dress it down! You can pair this top with jeans for casual look, or
you can weave ribon on the lace section for romantic and feminine looks. The front
opening is low enough to show your sexy cleavage, or you can sew it up if you feel
it is too low (I add button for accessory). This top is knit in around, from top down,
and in one piece, so there’s no seaming. Pattern is available in fingering weight
(page 2 - 6) and DK weight (page 7 - 11).
Sizes: See measurement table. The sizing of the
sweater is easy to customize. I’ve included sizing
guidelines, but keep in mind that you can control
the size.
Needle: Circular needle 3 mm (size 2) & 3.25
mm (size 3) for fingering weight and 3.75 mm
(size 5) & 4 mm (size 6) mm for DK

k1, p1, sl m, p1, k1
*, repeat * to * one more
time, p to last 9 sts, end with seed sts.
Repeat rows 3 - 18 until you reach row (66, 68, 70, 72, 74, 76, 78). Total sts on needle by this time is (410,
432, 450, 472, 494, 516, 538) sts (if you are on repeat lace rows 3 total sts is (408, 430, 448, 470, 492, 514,
536) sts).
NOW IS THE TIME TO TRY IT ON!
Slip the stitches to scrap yarn and try it on. If the two sleeve markers meet under your arm, you’re good. If
you need to add a few more increase rounds or take out a few, do so. End with right side facing for next row.
Note: Remember to make a note how many extra or less sts you made. = +/- X sts. Example: If you use XS
size your total sts at this time should be 410, however if you add 2 more rows, you will have 8 more sts (
incease 4 sts every additional row) or total 418 sts.
Next row (RS): 9 sts in seed sts, knit to first marker, slip stitches between next two markers plus 1 st after
marker onto scrap yarn (these are the sleeve stitches), cast on (2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5) stitches to the right-hand
needle, knit to next marker, slip stitches between markers plus 1 st after marker to scrap yarn, cast on (2, 2,
3, 3, 4, 4, 5) stitches to right-hand needle, knit to last 9 sts, end with seed sts. Now you should have (244,
258, 274, 288, 304, 318, 334) sts.
Plus or minus your extra or less sts if you add or less the increase
previously divided by two or ( X : 2). Thus if you use XS size and you add 8 sts, then you end up with
(244+(8:2)) sts or 248 sts.
NOW IS TIME TO JOIN THE FRONT TOGETHER and work in round.
Work in round for 12 rows. Do not forget to work seed sts (total 18 sts) in middle front.
Women with fuller busts may want to consider adding short-row shaping here, before start waist decrease.
Try it on again. Make sure it nearly cover bust while stretching lightly. If not, knit a few more round but no
need to knit the seed sts. Just plain knit all round.
WAIST DECREASES
Make sure you knit until right armpit. Begin the next row from there.
Work 1 round even while placing markers for the shaping as follows: k (27, 28, 30, 31, 33, 34, 36), pm, k (68,
74, 78, 82, 86, 92, 96)
(plus or minus X divided by 4 if you add or less the increase previously)
, pm, k (54,
56, 60, 62, 66, 68, 72), pm, k (68, 72, 76, 82, 86, 90, 94)
(plus or minus X divided by 4 if you add or less the
increase previously
) , pm, k (27, 28, 30, 31, 33, 34, 36). 4 marker placed. Make sure that the marker are
placed symmetrically.
Only for S, M, XXL, and XXXL:
Next Row: k to the marker, sl m, ssk, k to within 2 sts of next marker, k 2 tog, sm, k to next marker, sl m, k to
next marker, sl m, knit to end of round. Only decrease the front part

All size:
Next Row: k to the marker, *sl m, ssk, k to within 2 sts of next marker, k 2 tog, sm*, k to next marker, repeat
* to * one more time, knit to end of round.
Repeat decrease round every 3rd round (6, 6, 7, 8, 9, 9, 10) times more; (216, 228, 240, 252, 264, 276,
288)) sts. Knit even for 4 rounds.
Note: If you add or less the increase previously, you have to add or less the decrease accordingly to reach
(216, 228, 240, 252, 264, 276, 288) sts
While shaping, you will leave (34, 38, 44, 52, 60, 70) sts untouched at each side, and decrease/increase the
number of stitches in the front and back sections.
LACE PANEL ON WAIST
Try it on again. The lace panel on waist, should start about 12 cm above your navel and end about 2 cm
above your navel.
To avoid confusion when work on lace panel, place marker in the beginning (below right armpit).
If your actual waist measurement smaller than the waist in this pattern on selected size, use smaller needle
to knit the waist panel.
If this is your first lace attempt, make sure you count the sts every row. The total sts every row should be
(216, 228, 240, 252, 264, 276, 288). If not, most probably you missed the YO.
Work seed stitch on row 1 - 9:
Row 1: pm, work seed sts to last st before marker (for XS, M, XL, XXXL begin seed sts with purl, for S, L,
XXL begin seed sts with knit).
Row 2: sl m, work seed sts to last st before marker (for XS, M, XL, XXXL begin seed sts with knit, for S, L,
XXL begin seed sts with purl).
Row 3 - 8: Repeat row 1 and 2

stitch.
SLEEVES
Slip sleeve stitches back onto a circular needle or double pointed needles.
Pick up and knit (1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2) stitches under the arm, place marker, pick up and knit (1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 3)
stitches, and join for knitting in the round.
Knit 4 rounds. Do not forget to continue working the lace pattern. Since you are now working in a round pls
read the written instruction for "working in round".
Decrease round: knit around to 3 stitches before marker, k2tog, k1, sl m, k1, ssk, knit all.
Repeat the decrease round every 5th row 8 times or to desired narrowness.
Knit straight until desired length (make sure the lace section ends on row 4), work seed stitch for 8 cm or 3
inches and then bind off using picot stitch. Repeat for other sleeve.
Weave in the ends and you’re done!

Repeat rows 3 - 18 until you reach row (44, 46, 46, 48, 50, 50, 52). Total sts on needle by this time is (272,
286, 298, 312, 328, 338, 354) sts (if you are on repeat lace rows 3 total sts is (270, 284, 296, 310, 326, 336,
352) sts.
Example: If you use XS
size your total sts at this time should be 272, however if you add 2 more rows, you will have 8 more sts (
incease 4 sts every additional row) or total 280 sts.
Next row (RS): 7 sts in seed sts, knit to first marker, slip stitches between next two markers plus 1 st after
marker onto scrap yarn (these are the sleeve stitches), cast on (2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5) stitches to the right-hand
needle, knit to next marker, slip stitches between markers plus 1 st after marker to scrap yarn, cast on (2, 2,
3, 3, 4, 4, 5) stitches to right-hand needle, knit to last 7 sts, end with seed sts. Now you should have (162,
172, 182, 192, 202, 212, 222) sts.
Plus or minus your extra or less sts if you add or less the increase
previously divided by two or ( X : 2). Thus if you use XS size and you add 8 sts, then you end up with
(162+(8:2)) sts or 166 sts.
NOW IS TIME TO JOIN THE FRONT TOGETHER and work in round.
Work in round for 8 rows. Do not forget to work seed sts (total 14 sts) in middle front.
Work 1 round even while placing markers for the shaping as follows: k (16, 18, 18, 19, 21, 22, 24), pm, k (50,
50, 56, 58, 60, 62, 64)
(plus or minus X divided by 4 if you add or less the increase previously)
, pm, k (32,
36, 36, 38, 42, 44, 48), pm, k (48, 50, 54, 58, 58, 62, 62)
(plus or minus X divided by 4 if you add or less the
increase previously)
, pm, k (16, 18, 18, 19, 21, 22, 24). 4 marker placed. Make sure that the marker are
placed symmetrically.
Only for XS, M, XL, and XXL:
Next Row: k to the marker, sl m, ssk, k to within 2 sts of next marker, k 2 tog, sm, k to next marker, sl m, k to
next marker, sl m, knit to end of round. Only decrease the front part

All size:
Next Row: k to 1 st before marker, *sl m, ssk, k to within 2 sts of next marker, k 2 tog, sm*, k to next marker,
repeat * to * one more time, knit to end of round.
Repeat decrease round every 2rd round (6, 6, 8, 8, 7, 7, 6) times more; (132, 144, 144, 156, 168, 180, 192)
sts. Knit even for 3 rounds.
Note: If you add or less the increase previously, you have to add or less the decrease accordingly to reach
(132, 144, 144, 156, 168, 180, 192) sts
While shaping, you will leave (32, 36, 36, 38, 42, 44, 48) sts untouched at each side, and decrease/increase
the number of stitches in the front and back sections.
The total sts every row should be
(132, 144, 144, 156, 168, 180, 192). If not, most probably you missed the YO.
Work seed stitch on row 1 - 4:
Row 1: pm, work seed sts to last st before marker (for XS, L, XXL begin seed sts with purl, for S, M, XL,
XXXL begin seed sts with knit).
Row 2: sl m, work seed sts to last st before marker (for XS, L, XXL begin seed sts with knit, for S, M, XL,
XXXL begin seed sts with purl).

to *, k to end of round; (136, 148, 148, 160, 172, 184, 196) sts. Repeat increase round every 4th round 2
times more, then every 3rd round (5, 5, 6, 7, 7, 8, 9) times more; (164, 176, 180, 196, 208, 224, 240) sts.
Knit even for 1.5" / 4cm (approx. 11 rounds), then followed by seed sts 9 rows. Bind off using picot stitch.
SLEEVES
Slip sleeve stitches back onto a circular needle or double pointed needles.
Pick up (1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2) stitches under the arm, place marker, pick up and knit (1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 3) stitches,
and join for knitting in the round.
Knit 4 rounds. Do not forget to continue working the lace pattern. Since you are now working in a round pls
read the written instruction for "working in round".
Decrease round: knit around to 3 stitches before marker, k2tog, k1, sl m, k1, ssk, knit all.
Repeat the decrease round every 5th row 6 times or to desired narrowness.
Knit straight until desired length (make sure the lace section ends on row 4), work seed stitch for 8 cm or 3
inches and then bind off using picot stitch. Repeat for other sleeve.
Weave in the ends and you’re done!
