Boys claim to see woodland monster

0x01 graphic

Police were amazed last week when two school boys rang to say they had seen a monster in the local woods. The boys aged thirteen and fourteen said they had gone for a picnic in the woods. They had just stopped for lunch when they heard a noise.

At first they thought it might be a dog as lots of people walk their dogs in the area. They were shocked to see a huge hairy monster walking on two feet and coming towards them. The boys immediately ran home and told their parents what had happened.

The mother of one of the boys said, `They must have seen something very frightening because they left their bags with their mobiles in them. That is something they would never normally do.'

Police think it is probable that someone could have played a joke on the boys as there have been no other reports of large animals. However, when the boys' parents went to collect the bags, they found that the bags had been torn open. They thought it must have been done by some sort of animal as the food was missing but the mobiles were still there.

The story has created a lot of interest in the local area. Many people believe that the boys must have seen a wild bear as they often stand on two legs. However, local wildlife experts say it could not have been a bear as they have not lived in the area for a century.
