So that armhole facings don’t stick out af the shoulder, knit 2 stitches Mgether 4 limes, in total, m the hinding-ofl row before and after the shoulder. In 2 X 2 rihbing, purl 2 purl stitches rogether. In ł X I nhhing. knit a purl stitch together with the next knit stitch.

The second way of making armhole facings dlghily slonted ts double dccreases nr rhe shinilder. For this, make surę tlicie i.s a knit stitch ar rhe shoulder seam. In rhe luwt-to-lasi and last row on the nghi side ot the work, slip this stitch knitwise with the stitch ahead ot ii. knit the next stitch. and pass the slipped stitches over (sec also decreasing. page 35). Bind the stitches ofl as they lie in the last row on the right side of the work or che next row on the wrong side of the work.
