Pasta Pendant

Materials for Each Child: flour-and-water pastę m an empty dish-detergent bottle i square of conon fabric. 12’ x 12" tabnc paints and paintbrushes

Class Preparatlohs*.

For each child, mix flour and water together to make a smooth. faJrty thick pastę. Put it in an empty dish-detergent bottle. ready tor immediate use. Cut a square of cotton fabric. 12" x 12' for each child.

Pirectlohs:

1.    Squeeze the pastę out of the bottle onto the fabric to make a pattern Allow to dry overnight.

2.    Paint all over the dry. glued fabric with fabric paint. Allow to dry overmght.

3.    Peol off the pastę to see the pattern.

Materials for Each Child:

1 tagboard disk. 3" in diameter

dry pasta shapes

a long length of cord

tempera paint

paintbrush

glitter giue

glue

Use a jar lid. 3* in diameter. as a tempłate

to cut a tagboard disk for each child.

Use a hole puncher to make a hole near the edge of each disk

Plrectiohs:

1. Paint the disk a bnght eofor. Allow to dry Z. Glue on pasta shapes to make a pattern Allow to dry.

3. Add glitter glue or morę paint as a finishing touch.

Ą. Thread a length of cord through the fmished disk to make a pendant. :.
