Garden Glove Caterpillar Container

Materials For Each Child:

1 oatmeal Container or coffee can with lid 1 piece ol green construction paper. large enough to wrap around Container 1 green tagboard circle 1 green pipę cleaner cut in hall construction-paper scraps błack łine-tip marker glue

Materials For Each Child:

1 sheet ot 9' x 12" white construction-paper, with cow outline błack mk pads or thick błack tempera pamt in a shallow Container gray and black markers

Class Preparatlons:

For each child. duplicate the cow pattern on the opposite page onto white construction paper

Plrectfons:

1.    Use markers to color the cow s horns. eyes. nostnls. hoołs. and taił

2.    Use black ink or thick paint to make thumb-print patches on the cow.

Class Freparations-

For each child. cut a circle oł green tagboard siightly larger than the diameter oł the Container Cut a piece ot green construction paper to wrap around the length oł each child s Container.

1.    Glue the green construction paper around the length of the Container. Allow to dry. ;.

2.    For eyes. tear two construction-paper squares and glue them on the green circle Then tear two smaller squares in a different color and glue on top for pupils

3.    Glue two pieces of pipę cleaner to the back of the green circle near the top for antennae. Add a smile with a marker.

■4. Glue the face to the bottom of the Container. 5- Use the Caterpillar Container to storę your garden gloves.
