Materials For Cach Chlld:

1 shee! of 9" x 12* whrte construction paper V? carrot 1 straw

very njnny blue tempera paint in a Container sSightty iarger than the construction paper tempera paints in different colors black fioe-tip markers

Class Preparationg:

Mix some very runny tempera paint with a linie dish detergent in a Container.

Cut carrots in hall on a diagonal.

Płrectloh9:

1.    Blow down the straw to make bubbles m the paint. then gently place the sheet of paper on top. Lift it off carefully. then allow to dry. Q

2.    Dip half a carrot into paint and use it to print fish bodies on the paper Repeat with other cotors.

3.    Allow to dry; then use markers to add a taił. mouth. and eyes.

1 construction-paper fish cutout tissue paper in drfferent colors button and glue

Clas9 Prcparatlons:

Use the pattem on page 122 to cut out a fish from construction paper for each child

Pirections-

t. Spread glue on a section of the fish.

2.    Crumple up balls of different-colored tissue paper and stick them on.

3.    Continue unłil the wbole fish is covered.

■4. Glue on a button for an eye.
