Pet Snake

Materials For Each Child:

1 white construction-paper strip. 4" x 18* string

tempera paints

paintbrushes

markers

Cłas9 Pref>aratlon9:

For each child. cut a 4' x 18’ construction-paper stnp. Cut each end of the stnp mto a point for the head and taił. Have a hole puncher and lengths of string ready

1. Accordion-told the stnp of paper. (J>

Z. Pamt the sections ot the snake m different colors. Allow to dry.

3. Use markers or paint to add eyes.

•4. Use a hole puncher to punch a hole in the snake‘s head and tie stnng through it. O 5. Take your pet snake for a walk!

Crazy Snake

Materials For Each Child:

3 adjoining sections of an egg carton

1    red construction-paper torked tongue

2    wiggle eyes

tempera paints and paintbrushes glue

Class Preparatloh9:

Cut egg cartons so that each child has three adjoining sections. Cut a red forked tongue for each snake.

Plrectfon9:

1. Paint the carton with zigzags. stripes, or spots to look like a snake.

Z. Allow to dry.

3. Glue on wiggle eyes and the forked tongue.
