Generally an object pronoun used with an infini-tive may precede or follow the infinitive if a preposition comes before the infinitive (however, with the prepositions a and em the pronoun comes after the infinitive):

para me falar or    to speak to me

para falar-me

In the above case, and when the infinitive foliows another verb, Brazilian usage usually favors using the object pronoun before the infinitive:

źle ąuer me falar.    He wants to speak to

me.

Notice that o_t os, a, as, are also used to transiate "you”:

Ndo o vi.

Muito prazer em conhece-la. źle os chamou.

I didn’t see you. (masc. sing.)

Fm very glad to know you. (fem. sing.)

He called you. (masc. pL)

Notice in the second example above that when a direct object pronoun foliows the infinitive, the finał r of the infinitive is dropped and an / is pre-fixed to the direct object pronoun.
