/ When you spot an error quite a few rows back. mark the row with a coloured thread.
/ lf you are pulling back a complicated pattem. make a notę of how many rows are pulled back and mark it on your pattem. Then you will start with the correct pattem row when you resume knitting.
/ Put stitchcs back on to a size smaller needle. it will slip through the stitches easier. Remember to pick up the correct size needle when you start knitting.
Stitch several rows below
lf the stitch has run down a few rows.
but no morę than 4 rows. either repeat the instructions given for each row (making surę that you use the correct yam strand for each row). or use a crochet hook. Insert the hook through the front of the dropped stitch. catch the yam strand and puli through thc stitch. Repeat for all thc rows. For a purl stitch. work a knit stitch on the opposite side. lf morę than one stitch has becn dropped. slip the others on to a safety pin to stop them running any further. while you pick them up one by one. lf you dropped a stitch and d>d not notice it until quite a few rows later. the only solution is to unravel your work back to that point lf you try to pick it up. the yam strands will not be long cnough to work the stitches to the correct tension. The picked up stitches will be tight and will show up badly.
Unravelling one row lf the error occurred m stitches that you have just worked on the nght needle. There is no need to takc the work off the needle. just unravel. stitch-by-stitch. back to the error.
Insert the left needle mto the stitch below from the front drop the stitch off the nght needle and puli thc yam. Repeat this for each stitch back to the error. Work in the same way for purl stitches.
