The Russia Tower is envisaged as a symbol of communication between Russia and the rest of the world. As Moscow moves into the 21st century, the Russia Tower will be a significant marker on the skyline.
The 126-story tower will be the central element on a city błock that is to contain a 400-room hotel with convention facilitics, a retail component, and a transportation hall linked to the Moscow Metro. A pedestrian bridge will link the sile with the adjacent residential district across the Moscow River.
Together, the various elements of the complex and the bridge create a fortification around the tower, which is sited adjacent to riverfront open space connecting it with the historie center of Moscow and the Kremlin. In contrast to the heaviness of the surrounding elements, the tower’s glass and aluminum curtain wali is transparent and light.
