“Out at...” means bring the needle fromthe back of the work through to the front. “In at...” means takc the ncedlc from the right side of the work through to the back. On many sections of this design some holes are used morę than once.
Gold thread on green card.
Flame
Out at A in at B Out at C in at D Out at E in at F Continue this sequence until the flame is complete.

Add a stitch for the wiek between the candie and flame.

Noic the way the holes arc worked from sidc to sidc. this helps the thread lic flatter at hole 2.
Work holly leaf B in a similar way.
Candie holder Work the candie holder in backstitch using the finished diagram as a guide.
Glow
Out at U in at V Out at W in at X Out at Y in at Z Continue this sequence until the glow is complete, using the finished diagram as a guide.
Bcrrics
Add three red beads near the holly leaves. The beads are attached with stitchcs.
