Finally. it is important to use a blotting action rather than a rubbing action when cleaning stains. With rubbing, you run the risk of having the stain set in deeper. Carpet stains and baking soda
Baking soda is helpful for removing stains. Take one cup of baking soda and four cups of water and let it dissolve then put in a spray bottle and spray on stains.
Carpet stains and Club Soda
A great non-toxic carpet stain remover is soda water (club soda). Soak spot immediately with the soda water and biot until the stain is gone. Other elear sodas such as Sprite or ginger ale are also effective.
Carpet - Coffee stains
Once you make that spili, get a wet cloth and immediately start blotting the stain so it doesnt have time to set in. Biot until you cant lift any morę of the coffee out of the stain. If blotting with plain water doesnt work, there are several other steps you can take to remove the stain from your carpet.
Try pouring baking soda or salt (a coarse salt such as kosher salt works best, but table salt will do) on the stain until the entire area is covered. Leave it on the stain for at least a half-hour and then remove with a cloth or vacuum. With luck, the salt or soda will have absorbed all the liguid.
If you don't have one of these items handy. vinegar is also a worthy stain fighter. If the stain isn't too bad. dilute one part of vinegar to two parts of water pour on the stain and biot until the stain is lifted.

If ifs a big, deep stain, pour the vinegar directly from the bottle. saturating the coffee spot. Dab until the stain disappears. Once the stain is removed. biot again with a clean. damp cloth to rinse and get some of the vinegar smell out of the rug.
