CRANKSHAFT/TRANSMISSION

CRANKCASE SEPARATION

Remove the engine from the frame (Section 6).

Refer to the service information (page 11-1) for the parts that must be removed before the separating the crankcase.

Remove the bolt and bearing set piąte.

Remove the rear cam chain and cam chain drive sprocket.

(1) BEARING SET PLATĘ

(2) REAR CAM CHAIN

Remove the bolt and cam chain tensioner set piąte. Remove the front cam chain from the crankshaft.

Disconnect the neutral switch wire and oil pressure switch wire by removing the nut and bolt with the clamp.

Remove the 8 mm bolts and 6 mm bolts from the left crankcase.

NOTĘ

•    Remove the bolts in a crisscross pattern in 2 —3 steps.

•    Loosen the 6 mm bolts first, then the 8 mm bolts.

Remove the 8 mm bolts and 6 mm bolts from the right crankcase.

NOTĘ

•    Remove the bolts in a crisscross pattern in 2 —3 steps.

•    Loosen the 6 mm bolts first, then the 8 mm bolts.
