(11 RIGHT CRANKCASE
Place the left side crankcase down and separate the right crankcase from the left crankcase while prying the crankcase halves as shown and tapping the cases at several locations with a soft hammer.
• Do not darnage the crankcase mating surfaces with prying.
Remove the dowel pins.
Clean the crankcase mating surfaces thoroughly.

Remove the crankshaft from the left crankcase.
Check the connecting rod side clearances.
If either side clearance exceeds the service limit, replace the connecting rod and recheck.
If it is still beyond the limit, replace the crankshaft.
Inspect the crankshaft for rough spots or darnage.
• Do not interchange the crankpin bearings. They musi be in-statled in their original positions or the correct bearing oii clearance may not be obtained causing engine darnage.
Remove the bearing cap nuts and bearing caps.
