CRANKSHAFT/TRANSMISSION

Install a new countershaft oil seal.

Check the gearshift spindle oil seal for wear or damage, re-place if necessary.

RIGHT CRANKCASE

Drive the countershaft bearing, mainshaft bearing and shift drum bearing out of the crankcase.

TOOLS:

Right mainshaft bearing Driver

Attachment, 52 x 55 mm Pilot, 22 mm

Right countershaft bearing Driver

Attachment, 42 x 47 mm Pilot, 20 mm

TRANSMISSION INSTALLATION

Assemble the mainshaft and countershaft.

(5) STOPPER WASHER

(6) C3 (29T)

(7) BUSHING

(10) C2 (32TI

(11) BUSHING

(8) COUNTERSHAFT

(19) M2 (18T)

(121 M1 I14T)

(13) M4 (24T)

(14) M3 (21T)    /(16)M5(26T)    \ (18) SNAP RING

(1 5) BUSHING    < 17) STOPPER WASHER

Apply molybdenum disulfide grease to the following.

-    shift fork grooves (M3, C4, C5 gear)

-    inside and outside of the bushings    (3) C4 (27TI

-    outside of the spline bushings    \    (4I SNAP

(2) BUSHING 1 RING
