CRANKSHAFT/TRANSMISSION

Install the M5 bushing onto the mainshaft, aligning the holes in the bushing and mainshaft.

Check the gears for free rotation on the shaft.

Check the snap rings are seated in the grooves and align their end gap with the land of the splines.

Install the shift fork shaft through the center shift fork, aligning the bolt holes in the shaft and shift fork.

Tighten the bolt with the lock washer and bend up the tabs of the lock washer.

(1) SHIFT FORK SHAFT

(2) CENTER SHIFT FORK

(5) BOLT

(4) LOCK WASHER

(3) TABS

Install the right and left shift forks with the locations as shown.

NOTĘ

• Install all shift forks with the marks on the shift forks facing to the right crankcase.

(1) MARKS

Assemble the mainshaft, countershaft, shift fork shaft and shift drum.

Install them to the left crankcase as an assembly.

NOTĘ

Install them as follow, if it is difficult:

•    remove the oil pump (section 2) and crankshaft.

•    install the mainshaft, countershaft and shift fork shaft as an assembly.

•    install the shift drum.

•    install the oil pump (section 2) and crankshaft.
