SILICON DIODĘ

Remove the fuel tank (page 4-3).

Remove the Silicon diodę from the main wire harness.

Check for continuity with an ohmmeter.

Connect the positive probe to the © terminal and the negative probe to the © terminal of the diodę.

There should be continuity, then with the probes reversed, there should be no continuity.

NOTĘ

• The test results shown are for a positive ground ohmmeter and the opposite results will be obtained when a negative ground ohmmeter is used.

IGNITION TIMING

NOTĘ

• The Capacitive Discharge Ignition (CDI) system is factory pre-set and cannot be adjusted. Ignition timing inspection procedures are given to inspect the function of the CDI components.

Warm up the engine to the normal operating temperaturo.

Awarning

• // the engine must be running to do some work, make surę the area is well-ventilated. t\ever run the engine in an enclosed. The exhaust contains poisonous carbon monoxide gas that can cause loss of consciousness and may lead to death.

Remove the timing inspection hole cap on the left crankcase cover.
