S u m m a r y

The work Introduces a method of determlning the mass of energy accumu-lator on the basis of traction carrlage load diagram and energy charac-teristic curves of accumulator energy sources, Energy characteristic curves of the above mentioned energy sources (i.e. some lead and alkaline accumulators) defined as a function of unit power of discharge led to the derivation of the formula for calculating both the charging energy and the working cycle utilization factor in the traction motor supply system of hybrid locomotive. The work shows the deperfdence of these parameters on the character of the locomotive load, diesel engine power rating and power characteristic curves of energy accumulators.
