Problem

Service is aware of an issue regarding the V360 Malta. The edge of the camera bezel is lifting away
from the flip housing, part number of the bezel is 1371243A01. Investigation revealed that the
problem is the air bubbles in the adhesive, between the bezel and the housing. Thus resulting in
weak holding strength and ultimately the bezel lifting.

This issue only affects the initial shipment of the V360 product Vodafone units built with the Models

AAU1850BA/ AAU1891BA. Approximately 21K units were shipped with this issue.

Solution

Three corrective actions were implemented to resolve the bezel lifting issue:

1. Supplier implemented process improvements during flip assembly starting week 40 of 2005.
2. The adhesive strip that is used to attach the bezel to the flip was changed from 3M #9795 to 9495

P/N: 1170314Z05

3. Factory work instructions were revised to include a 100% inspection of the Camera bezel prior to

unit close-up.

Perform the following service procedure on all V360 customer returns with a MOM of October 2005 or
earlier:

9) Firmly press & hold the camera bezel for 10 seconds.
10) Rub the bezel with your thumb to ensure it is uniformly adhered to the housing surface.
