Zadanie 8. dotyczy wszystkich stref wyników.

Szczegółowe kryteria oceniania wypowiedzi pisemnych (wg Informatora CKE

)

Treść

W ocenie treści bierze się najpierw pod uwagę, do ilu elementów z polecenia uczeń się
odniósł w swojej wypowiedzi, a następnie ile z tych elementów rozwinął w zadawalającym
stopniu.

Spójność

i logika wypowiedzi

There is a book on the table. zamiast On the table is a book.

Zadanie 1.
Tekst 1.
Last week my friends and I decided to organize a surprise party for Mike. We’d planned
everything long before so that everything went fine.
First of all, we had to find a suitable place. Jack said that his dad had a very nice restaurant
and that we could have our party there. He also promised to prepare something to eat with
his mum who is a cook and makes a fantastic chicken curry. But she said that she wouldn’t
make a cake because she wouldn’t have enough time. Luckily, Patricia said that she could
buy one in the shop round the corner. In the end, she brought the most delicious cake I’d ever
eaten.
Then we thought about things such as juice, mineral water or cola. Since we needed a lot of
them, we had to ask someone who had a car to help us bring all these things. Ben’s brother is
already 18 and has got a driving licence so he promised to help us and go with Ben to buy all
we needed. They bought loads of cans of cola, bottles of water and cartons of pineapple juice.
Why pineapple? Don’t ask me, I have no idea!
We thought that everything was ready for the party: food and drinks, the cake, balloons and
other decorations, even music, quizzes and movies to watch. Suddenly, Mary Ann exclaimed:
the present! And we all laughed because none of us thought about buying the most important
thing. Mary Ann said she would go to the nearest gift shop and get something nice.
All in all, the party went great. Mike was really surprised but happy. He loved the present and
the whole idea of his birthday party. We were all happy, too.

Tekst 2.
Online shopping has become very popular in the recent years. More and more people prefer
internet shops to traditional ones. There are a lot of advantages and disadvantages of this
way of shopping.
The biggest advantage is that the prices are definitely lower, sometimes even half of the
normal price. But the average product can be even up to 30% cheaper than in a traditional
shop. Also, you can buy products which are not available in your country, especially if you
like doing the shopping in foreign shops. Some brands are not sold in Poland yet, but you can
have them easily without going abroad. Online shopping is also a perfect way for those who
look for unique objects like old stamps, coins, antiques or jewellery.
However, there are some disadvantages. First of all, you can be cheated by dishonest sellers
who either will not send the product you want, or will send a faulty item. What’s more, you
have to pay for shipping which makes the shopping more expensive. Finally, you have to wait
until the product gets to your house, so online shopping is not good for people who don’t like
waiting.
All in all, shopping via the Internet will become more and more popular and in the future we
will all use this way of purchasing items. Despite some drawbacks, it is very comfortable and
cheap. So why not visit online shops now?

2.1.
Sam:
Mike, are there many students in you class?
Mike: Yes, there are. There are 27 students, 15 boys and 12 girls.
Sam: Do all of them do English at school?
Mike: No, not all of them. Some do English and some do German.
Sam: Are you in the English group?
Mike: Yes, I am. We are a smaller group – there are only 13 of us.
Sam: So, the German group is 14, isn’t it?
Mike: Yes, that’s right.

2.2.
Man 1:
Can I talk to you for a moment, Sam?
Man 2: Yes, sure. What’s the matter?
Man 1: I’m not satisfied with your results. They’ve been really very poor recently.
Man 2: I’m sorry, sir. I will do my best to make them better. I promise to work harder.
Man 1: That’s great. Remember that we would like to be the best building company in our

town so we expect that our workers will have better results than the others.

Man 2: Ok, Mr Stevens, I will stay at work longer today.

2.3.
A man:

So, what do you think about the service here?

A woman: Well, it’s quite ok. The people are very friendly and helpful and the food in the

restaurant is very tasty.

A man:

Have you had dinner yet?

A woman: Yes, I’ve just had some pasta. And the coffee they serve is absolutely delicious.

With a piece of apple pie, of course.

A man:

And the room service?

A woman: I can’t complain. They’re very nice.

2.4.
A man:

Good morning Tracy.

A woman: Good morning Sam. How are you?
A man:

I’m fine, thanks. And you.

A woman: I’m ok. Sam, can you see this man over there?
A man:

Yes, what’s the matter with him?

A woman: He keeps parking his car on the pavement and people can’t walk.
A man:

Yes, he’s so selfish. And sometimes he doesn’t close the front door.

A woman: I know, I know. And look at these kids! They had a party last weekend and it was

so noisy. I couldn’t sleep!

A man:

That’s the problem with youngsters, I’m afraid.

A woman: Look! It’s Ted! And his awful creature. I hate this dog, Barney. I must go now!

Bye Sam!

A man:

Bye Tracy!

Dad:

Ok, everyone, we’re having this family gathering because it’s high time we

decided where we will stay during our holidays. We’ve got some suggestions and

I need to know which place you choose. Grandma, what do you think?

Grandma: You know that I am pretty old and I really prefer comfortable places. They’re

quite expensive but still I like to have my own comfortable room with a bathroom

and room service bringing refreshments instead of staying with twenty people in

one big room with bunk beds.

Dad:

But as you have said that’s not the cheapest place to stay. Stacey, what about

you?

Mum:

I think we need to cut down on accommodation expenses and that’s why we’d

better rent this big car with a toilet, a bathroom and a kitchen inside altogether

with some sleeping places. That will save a lot of money and enables us to travel

wherever we want.

Sara:

But Mum, it’s out of the question! It’s not convenient at all if we all stay in one

place for two weeks! I think we should rent two nice rooms in some people’s

house: one for me and Grandma and one for you and Dad. It will be comfortable

and pretty cheap. Dad, what do you think?

Dad:

Well, I used to be a scout as you all know. I loved spending my holidays on the

campsite in the forest. Why don’t we go camping then?

Mum, Sara, Grandma:

NO WAY!

Good evening, this is Channel One Evening News. Here’s the latest news:
The president of France decides not to visit Iraq this week due to a few recent terrorist

attacks. However, his office stated that this visit will be put off only until next week.

The north of Argentina faces a terrible heatwave altogether with draughts. Additionally,

the country suffers from a terrible lack of drinking water, the worst in the last twenty years.

The government is asking for help. Bottles of water are the most wanted product these

days.

The new medicine for a splitting headache has been invented. Yesterday scientists from

Alaska University presented the results of their long lasting research during the Fifth

International Scientific Meeting. After two years of experiments, the desirable effects have

been reached. The product is going to be available within the next three weeks.

Zadanie 2.

Mum:

Where were you all evening?

Daughter: Sorry mum, I was shopping for hours. Do you happen to know how hard it is to

buy a pair of jeans at a reasonable price?

Mum:

But you’ve bought some, haven’t you?

Daughter: Sure, I have. I paid a fortune for one pair and just a couple of pounds for the
other.
Mum:

Show me the ones worth a fortune.

Daughter: Here they are! Navy blue, my favourite colour. £30, I’m afraid.
Mum:

Oops, quite a lot!

Daughter: But the black ones were really much cheaper, only £14, so altogether they don’t

seem to be that expensive.

A woman: 5.05. We’re terribly late!
A man:

Yes, I know. It’s all because of the fact that we missed the train. If you had known

which platform it was from, we wouldn’t be late here.

A woman: Don’t complain, please. You’d better find the way to the check-in desk.
A man:

This way! I hate all these safety procedures here. Next time we’ll take the coach.

It’ll be cheaper, safer and nicer than traveling by air.

2.3.
Presenter:

And now, professor Smith will present his speech.

Professor Smith: Everybody knows that unless we do something to help the environment,

sooner or later our planet will be a huge pile of rubbish. If we don’t care,

a lot of species will die out, just like the dinosaurs did. If we don’t stop the

greenhouse effect, the climate will change in such a way, that it will

become a danger to the mankind. So what are we expected

to do? We are expected to find a solution. Right here! Right now!

Presenter:

Thank you, Professor. And now, would you like to ask professor some

questions?

2.4.
Man 1:
This is my new invention, let me show you how it works.
Man 2: Wow, it’s amazing! It’s quite similar to the one I invented last year, but I can see

yours is much better and has got more functions. Has your professor seen it yet?

Man 1: Not yet, but I’m going to show it on our next classes. Do you think it will sell well?
Man 2: I’m sure it will. And you will get a very good price. Nowadays people need things

which can help them with their housework.

Man 1: Yes, you’re right. I’m already thinking about a new thing that will reduce the amount

of water used in our houses. I would be glad if you joined me in this project.

Man 2: That would be great!

If you want to lead a healthy lifestyle, here are some really useful tips:
First of all, think about your diet. This is the most important thing. Remember that it must be
balanced. Try to avoid some products, such as very sweet things or high cholesterol food but
don’t forget about proteins and enough vitamins.
Secondly, turn off the TV and the computer. Instead of sitting in front of them and wasting
time, walk the dog, go jogging, work in the garden. Look for small ways to move more.
Do some exercise, that’s the next thing. Make a list of different activities that you usually do
every day and add some exercise. When you talk on the phone, walk. When you work on the
computer, sit straight. When you watch TV, lie on the floor and do some sit-ups.
Finally, forget about your addictions. Don’t drink too much coffee which removes minerals
from your body and rises your blood pressure. Limit it to up to two cups every day. No
smoking! It kills you because it causes a lot of diseases that cannot be cured. Give it up as
soon as possible and get a move on! You’ll feel much better soon.

Harrods is a world famous department store. It was founded by a 25 year old Charles Henry
Harrod in 1824. There are 330 departments in which you can buy a variety of products, not
only clothing and jewellery, but also toys, food and drink, gifts, furniture and many more.
Harrods offers a wide range of services, as well. You can have your trousers repaired at
a tailor’s, your hair cut at a barber’s, or your house designed. As soon as you have done the
shopping, you can have a rest in one of 32 restaurants.
This store is popular with both local residents and tourists. There are even up to 300,000
people visiting the store on peak days. What’s more, there are over 5,000 people working
there.
There is one very important thing to remember before you decide to visit Harrod’s: dress
code. Since 1989 you may be not allowed to enter if you are not dressed properly. Wearing
a soldier uniform or torn jeans may stop you at the entrance.

Zadanie 2.
Speaker 1.
Shopping in supermarkets is a nightmare for me. There are always so many people that it is
sometimes hard to walk between the shelves. The only chance is to go shopping short before
they close. And forget the weekends! Families come to shopping centres instead of spending
time in the open air. I hate crowds, really.

Speaker 2.
Supermarkets are not for me. I can see a lot of drawbacks of huge shops but the worst thing
for me is that the items which you buy there are not good, really. Fruit and vegetables are not
as fresh as in local greengrocer’s, popular brands are not always available, bags and boxes
are sometimes open. So any time I can, I choose smaller shops.

Speaker 3.
A typical supermarket is a disaster! You never buy what you really want and you always pay
too much. They use different methods to make you buy more than you need. Their tricks are
awful, for example, cheaper products are always on the top shelf and I can’t reach them.
I think it’s not fair.

Speaker 4.
I don’t like supermarkets, really. There is too much space, too many goods and too many
people. I usually lose my way, have to come back to some places many times. I prefer smaller
shops.
