The Star-Spangled Banner (words written by Francis Scott Key during the war of 1814 at FORT McHenry. The war started in 1812 between Americans and Great Britain and lasted 2 years . It was about the influences of Britain and The United States in Canada. Francis Scott Key was detained on one of the British ships during the bombardment of FORT McHenry. He was inspired by the American flag still waving on the wind after the bombardment . He wrote a poem that later on became the lyrics of the national anthem)
