JOINING ALPHA FLIGHT

With his rohotic chariot, Roger cainc to the attention of James McDonald Hudson who was reeruiting for Al i*ha Pi ight. Hudson reeruited Roger into Alpha Flight s training programme and he was progressing well when tlie Canadian governmcnt withdrew funding. Out of a job, Roger returned to his native Saskatchewan.

Hudson kept the team going but Rogers return to it was a long time coming. Hired by Jcrome Jaxon tojoin the nefarious Omega Fliglu, Roger was expected to help them destroy Alpha Flight. He opposed tliis but was helplcss when Jaxon took control of Box and sent it into battlc. By the end of the struggle, both Jaxon and Hudson were dead and Box was scriously mangled. Roger was invitcd to rejoin the exhausted Alpha Fliglu. but tirst he needcd to rebuild his robot.

With the help of lei Iow team member. Madison JcfTcries, Roger constructed a superior Box model, but when he becantc unitu ky in love, his life began a downward spiral. Manipulatcd into merging his being with Madison s unbalanced brother, Roger became part of a new entity—Omega. His endeavors to limit Omega s sinister activities led to him being elfectiwly lobotoniized and when Omega was defcated and died, Roger passed away. too.
