FRONT WHEEL/SUSPENSION/STEERING

INSTALLATION

Place the front wheel between the fork legs.

Fit the caliper over the brake disc, taking care not to damage the brake pads.

Clean the axle and holder.

Install the axle through the speedometer gearbox and wheel hub.

Set the speedometer gearbox tab against the behind of the tang on the right fork slider.

Whenever removed the axle holder, install it with "UP" mark facing up.

Install the axle holder nuts loosely.

Tighten the axle shaft.

TORQUE: 65 IM-m (6.5 kg-m, 47 ft-lb)

Connect the speedometer cable to the gearbox and secure it with a screw.

With the front brake applied, pump the fork up and down sev-eral times to seat the axle.

Tighten the axle holder nuts, the upper nuts first, then the lower nuts in 2 or 3 steps.

TORQUE: 12 N-m (1.2 kg-m, 9 ft-lb)
