LUBRICATION

ENGINE OIL LEVEL CHECK


Support the motorcycle upright on level ground.

Start the engine and let it idle for a fow minutes.

Stop the engine, remove the cwł filier cap/dipatick and wipe it clean.

Check the oil level with the oil Wlef cap 'dipstick by mserting it without acrewing it in.

NOTĘ

• Do not screw the cap in when making thia check.



If the oil level is below the lowor level mnrk on the dipstick, fili to the upper level mark with tho recommonded oil Isee holowi.

ENGINE OIL CHANGE

NOTĘ

• Changę the engine oil wrth the engine warm and the motorcycle on its aide stand to aaaure comptete and rapid dram

Remove the oil filier cap/dipstick and drain bolt.

With the engine stop switch OFF, atort the atanor motor for a fow aeconds to drain any oil which may be left in the engine.

NOTĘ

• Do not operate the motor morę thnn a few aeconds.


(1 > DRAIN


After the oil has dramed. check that the dram bolt sealing waaher ia in good condition. and matall the bolt.

TOROUE: 35 Nm (3.5 kg-m. 25 ft Ib)



Fili the crankcase with the correct quantity of the recommend-

ed oil.

OIL CAPACITY:

2.8 lit 12.96 US qt, 2.46 Imp qt) nfter dlaasaembly 2.4 lit (2.54 US qt. 2.11 Imp qt) nt oil flltar and oil change 2.2 lit (2.32 US qt. 1.94 Imp qti after draining

HECOMMENDED OIL: Honda 4-atroke oM or equivalent

A PI aeryice claaaification SE or SF VISCOSITY: SAE 20W - 50/10W-40

Inatall the oil filier cap/dipatick.

Start tha engine and let it idle for a few mmutea

(2) SFALING WASHER



Stop the engine and wait a few minutea, then check that the oil level ia at the upper level mark with the motorcycle upright. Check that there are no oil leaks.
