_Water Pump_
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
• When removing water pump assembly, be careful not to get water on the adjacent part of the timing belt.
• Check for excessive end play and rough opera-tion.
• The water pump cannot be disassembled and should be replaced as a unit.
• Bolt holes are drilled through water jackets in cylinder błock. Do not forget to use a sealant and tighten the bolts.
• After installation, run engine for a few min-utes, and check for leaks.
_Radiator_
INSPECTION
Checking cooling system hoses
Check hoses for proper attachment, leaks cracks, damage, loose connections, chafing and deteriora-tion.
Checking radiator cap
Apply pressure to radiator cap by means of a cap tester to see if it is satisfactory.
Radiator cap relief pressure:
Checking cooling system for leaks
Apply pressure to the cooling system by means c a tester to check for leakage.
CAUTION: Higher than the specified pressure may causa
radiator damage.
