Temat: The holiday of a lifetime

Last August I went to Italy to spend my holiday there. To tell you the truth, it was the best holiday in my life. I crossed the border for the first time so I was very excited. At that time, Poland was not in Schengen's zone so it was more complicated to go abroad without a valid passport. Fortunately, I had all the documents and everything finished successfully. I reached my destination in Pisa, and I checked in at the hotel.

I spent my free time in Pisa walking along narrow charming side streets for hours on end. While I was looking round Piazza dei Miracoli ("Square of Miracles") with the marvellous Leaning Tower, I saw Marlena - my best friend from the primary school . She was standing close by the flowerbed looking at something. I went to her and found out that she had moved in Pisa with her parents. Marlena was glad to see me and offered to do some sightseeing. What is more, she promised to show me her favourite places in this fabulous town.

Thanks this unexpected meeting I had an opportunity to get to know the town. What impressed me to a great extent was delicious Italian cuisine.

Now I know that being alone I would never be familiar with Pisa. Maybe, the holiday of a lifetime is still ahead of me but I would like my holidays were so miraculous like those I had last summer.
