As soon as he got out of the car, Martin felt uneasy. Something was talking to him that it would be a hard day. The wind was blowing and it was pouring with rain. He had left his car in car park and he was walking to his office when suddenly a black cat crossed his way. ‘It is a bad sign’ he thought.
When he came to work, everything looked fine. Two hours later to Martin’s office room entered Amanda, his head. She asked about a financial report from last year which he had to prepare for her two weeks ago. When Martin was bending down to his briefcase he hit a cup with coffee and whole drink spilled on Amanda’s skirt. She was really furious. He knew that after this accident his career was veering close to the edge because he hadn’t been a good employee. About 15 minutes before the end of working time Amanda had called him to her office and she fired him from work.
I am sure that it was the worst day in Martins life.
