Gender discrimination is one of stereotypes' most negative defects. It is indeed very bad and damaging to many people. There are couple major reasons for such a state of things. First of all, gender discrimination is common in the job market. Because of it's presence many individuals cannot, or hardly can manage a successful career. For example, it would be harder for a woman to become an outstanding race car driver, and on the other hand it wouldn't be easy for a man to become a great cosmetologist. Although, customary, it's women who suffer the most - they might be paid less than men, treated without a respect and in darkest cases - molested. Secondly, what makes gender discrimination ill-natured is the atrocious way females are treated in some societies. It wouldn't be a lie to state they're stripped completely of their dignity and even a life, due to the religious views and cultural practices. The phenomena is an every-day situation in the middle-east, where women are considered a property of a man; they're required to fully obey him and be at his every call. Their status is awfully bad. Last of all, prejudice of sexes ranks high in the charts of evil because of it's universality. It can affect practically everybody - no matter the age, race and of course the gender. Probably everyone had experienced an incident of such a background, whether it was not being treated well at school's office or not being given a promotional coupon at a restaurant (when the representatives of the opposite sex received one's). Summing up, gender discrimination is awfully wrong and it is worse then any other kind.
