8. Trianglc Place a coil between the tips of your indcx fingers and (humbs. Kccping the tips ofyour fingers together bring up both chumbs to form the shapc. Finch cach corner to sharpen up the shape.
9. Half moon Hołd the coil in one hand and then, using the handle end of a quilling tool as a former, push the coil against the tool to form the shape. Finch the t\vo corners.
10. Heart or shicld Hołd the coil in the left hand, push the edge of the coil inwards with the indcx finger oł the other hand and pinch the edges round the finger. Carefully squccze the corners to complete the shapc.
11. Tulip Make a teardrop shape and, still holding the pinchcd end, movc it inwards to form the shape.
12. Dart Finch as for a teardrop and then, holding the pinched end in the left hand, push the right indcx finger into the coil uncil the rounded ends comc up ovcr your finger. Pinch the corners to make a sharp arrow-head shape.
13. Body Take a coil and squash it, making a sharp point at cach end. This is used for simple butterfly and dragon-fly bodics.
14. Holly This shapc is best madę with paper strips that are over one-quarterofa length. Using a pair of twcczcrs, pinch the top and bottom of the coil together. Now, pinch one of the sides between your index finger and thumb and push the pinchcd end towards the twcczcrs. Still holding the twcczcrs closcd, change hands and repcat at the other end.
