Off-ccntre coils are madę on a designer board (sec page 12). They arc uscd to make mosaic shapcs slightly diffcrcnt in appcarancc to those madę from simplc closcd coils.

Pegs are tightly rollcd lengths of papcr that can bc uscd for the centres of flowers and to provide smali dense arcas of colour.

2. Gcntly casc thc pcg off thc tool using your finger and thumb.

1.    Roli your coil and glue it closcd. Place it into thc right sizc formcr on thc designer board. If you are using gilded or pcarl-cdgcd papcr you must place thc coil into thc formcr with thc gilded or pearlised edge down.

2.    Thcn, using a pcarl-headed pin. puli the centrc of the coil towards thc edge of the formcr and push thc pin into the board.

3. Using a cocktail stick, rub glue into the area bctwccn thc pin and thc edge of thc formcr, and lcavc it to dr)'.

Rcmcmber that the side you havc glucd is the back of thc coil.

5. You can now usc thc coil to make any of thc mosaic shapcs on thc samplcr. Whcn pinching shapcs make surę that thc off-ccntre is at thc place in which you want thc colour intensified. For instancc, in a teardrop thc ccntrc will bc at thc rounded end of the shapc.

1. Put a little glue on one end of thc papcr and roli it up on thc tool from thc non-glucd end to form a tightly closcd pcg. Hołd thc papcr on thc tool until thc glue drics.
