Starting Position: P: Supine or sitting; elbow extended and forearm fully supinated; wrist in fuli dorsal and radial flexion; all fingers fully flexed. T: Standing, back against P.
Grip: T’s left hand grips P's liexed little finger, with index finger over P’s distal phalanx and his thumb close to P's MCP joint on the dorsal side. T's right hand stabilizes P's thumb and the rest of P's fingers at the radial side.
Fig. 63 a. Starting Position.
Procedurę: Using this grip, T gradually and fully extends and adducts (in the radial direction) at the MCP joint of P’s little finger.
Stimulation of Antagonists: T retains grip. T then asks P to move further in the direction of stretching, and resists that movement to stimulate P’s antagonists.
