HYDRAULIC BRAKE

MASTER CYLINDER

REMOVAL

Drain brake fluid from the hydraulic system.

Remove the brake lever and rear view mirror from the master cylinder. Disconnect the brake hose.

CAUTION

• A void spilling brake fluid on painted surfaces. Place a rag over thefuel tank whenever the brake system is serviced.

(4) REAR VIEW MIRROR

(2) BRAKE HOSE

(3) BRAKE LEVER PIVOT BOLT

NOTĘ

• When removing the oil hose bolt, cover the end of the hose to prevent contamination. Secure the hose to prevent fluid from leaking out.

Remove the master cylinder.

DISASSEMBLY

Remove the brake light switch and boot.

Remove the snap ring.

Remove the piston and spring.

TOOL:

Snap ring pliers    07914—3230001

Clean the inside of the master cylinder, reservoir, spring and piston with clean brake fluid.
