'.'easure the woveri lid and cut it m hdlf. Cut 25mm (1in) square *rom each of the four corners.
.7eave somc morę dough, enough to cover the inside of the oish. Lightly grease the inside of the dish and lay the woven dough inside. Trim around the edge of the dish. Make a twist and attach it to the edges of the woven basket.
Make a thick twist for the handle and place it over the cardboard support, tucking the ends in between the cardboard and the inside of the dish.
Place the basket and lid on a baking tray and bakę at 120°C (250°F or Gas Mark !4) for about four hours. Allow the basket to cool before removing the cardboard support. Apply two coats of varnish to the basket and lid, both inside and out.
Glue the ends of the cardboard ^ strip together to make a circle W and cover it with kitchen foil. Place the foil-covered circle in the centre of the basket (this will support the handle while baking).
