My first flat was rented and it was a shock when I bought my own house and I realised I had nothing to put in it. My parents and family helped by giving me things they didn't want like old chairs, beds and cupboards. Now, though, I want to change them and get something more in my style.

When I left home, I saved up and bought a house. It isn't very big but it's big enough for me. Then, last year, my grandmother died and left me her flat. I didn't want to sell it so I bought some new furniture and now I get £500 a month from a businessman who lives there.

I moved house a few years ago. It was quite an old house and very cold. The first thing I did was to put central heating in. Then I changed the windows and decorated it. Now it's perfect. I can't relax yet, though. There is a lot to do to the lawn and the garden fences.
4
I've always been interested in houses. I helped my parents a lot when I was a teenager and learned a lot about repairing things and decorating. No-one was surprised when I got a job selling houses. I'm good at it too. I think it's because I'm honest about what work needs doing.

I've just started renting a small flat from an agency in my town. It isn't very big but it's quite nice and it's big enough for me. The furniture is nice too, very comfortable. The only problem I have is with the temperature in the winter. I have to wear my coat and jumper all the time indoors because there's no central heating.
