A: Hi Tom. I'm glad you asked me to come here. It's really calm here compared to my house.
B: Hi Leo. It's quite busy today. It took me ages to get served. I bought you a coke.
What's wrong? Problems at home?
A: Yes, my sister has started going out with a boy from school. My parents don't like him.
B: So, are they having an argument?
A: Yes, he came to the house today and he was very polite. He said good afternoon and took his
shoes off when he came in. But my parents were quite rude to him and now my sister is
really angry with them.
B: Cheer up. They like your girlfriend, Donna, don't they?
A: Oh yes. I think they like her more than me.

Last year we went on holiday with my uncle and aunt and their two children. We stayed in a cottage by the sea. It was great. My uncle and aunt and my mum and dad did all the cooking and cleaning and I had lots of free time with my two cousins. Usually, I go on holiday just with my parents which is OK but this was much more fun. My cousins are a few years older than me but we get on well together. We spent the days outside, swimming or playing on the beach. In the evening, we played cards or computer games in our bedroom. Our parents stayed downstairs watching TV but we never did because we didn't want to watch the same programmes as them.
