My family met up last week for a party. It was my aunt's fiftieth birthday but there weren't many people there. In fact, my cousin wasn't even there. She was at the cinema with her boyfriend. I think she arrived after we'd gone home. My sister was there. She's going to have a baby soon but she wanted to be at the party because she's very close to my aunt. Her husband was decorating the baby's bedroom. They know it's going to be a boy so I think he was putting up Manchester United wallpaper. My sister couldn't do much so she sat on the sofa and spent most of the time talking to my uncle. I've never heard him talk so much and I had no idea he was interested in babies. I think the main reason he stayed there was so that he wouldn't have to dance with my aunt. She didn't mind, she was happy dancing on her own. My mum, as always, spent the whole evening taking dirty glasses and plates to the kitchen and washing them up. It didn't matter that it wasn't our house. She just hates mess.
