Alexia: Mark, Mark! Over here!

Mark: Oh, hi, Alexia! I hope I'm not late. Have you got the tickets?

Alexia: Yes, I've got them. We still have about ten minutes. The film starts at six.

Mark: Is your new friend coming, too?

Alexia: Claire? Yes, she is. I'm sure you'll like her. She doesn't talk much but she's really good fun.

Mark: I hope she likes cartoons.

Alexia: Yes, she does. She loves them. In fact, she thinks they're much better than other films.

Mark: Hmm, I suppose cartoons are OK but I like action films the best.

Alexia: Oh come on, Mark! Fast cars, explosions, crashes - what's so interesting about that? All action films are the same.

Mark: I think you should see one. I'll take you to see an action film next week if you like. I'm sure you'll like it. How about next Saturday?

Alexia: Saturday? I'd like to but I'm going into town with my mum. I need to buy a birthday present for my sister. Maybe another time, all right?

Mark: OK. Where's Claire? It's nearly six. We can't wait any longer, we're going to be late!

Alexia: Why don't you take your ticket and go in? I'll wait here for her.

Mark: OK. See you in there.

Mark: So, what did you think, Claire? Did you like it?

Claire: Well, it's difficult to say. I thought the story was a bit boring but the music was really good.

Alexia: I agree about the plot - I got bored after the first half hour. And one hour and fifty minutes was definitely too long.

Mark: Oh, come on, girls! The animation was just amazing!

Alexia: Hmm, maybe. It was probably all right for some of the kids there. Most of them were bored though, and they were talking so loudly that I couldn't hear what was going on.

Claire: Yeah, you're right. I think there should be a minimum age for the cinema. You can't expect three- or four-year-olds to sit quietly and watch a film like that.

Mark: Nonsense! My nephew loves cartoons, he's always good at the cinema. And he'll be four in August.

Claire: Why don't you take him to see this cartoon then?

Mark: That's a good idea, Claire. I will. Would you two like to come with us?

Claire: No, thanks! Not again!

Alexia: Some other film perhaps!
